December 2017 Featured Character
Which characteristic would you say defines Rufus?
His zest for life. He thoroughly enjoys being a guard, but he also dedicates a lot of time to the more typical fun things; drinking, dancing, cards, playing with his nieces and nephew, mentoring younger guards, etc.
What was the most important event in Rufus's life to date?
As of this month, Delilah offering Rufus the fast-track to captain!
What was your favourite thread that Rufus was in? Why?
'Stormy Seas, Troublesome Guards' because it's fun to write reckless (slightly) younger Rufus and throwing a guy through a table is the ultimate bar fight move!
If there was anything you could change in Rufus's RP history to date, what would it be?
Nada, he's only been around for a couple of months and I'm happy with everything about him so far.
Does Rufus have a dream? What is it?
Up until recently, Rufus' main dream was to become captain of the Amaranthine Guard. Now that he's on his way to doing that, he wants to make sure that the faith Delilah put in him is rewarded. More personally, he does want to meet somebody he falls in love with and have a family with them.
What do/would your other characters think of Rufus?
Siali would initially be cautious because of the whole human/size/guard thing, but she'd like him a bit after seeing him cut loose.
Nicolette would definitely enjoy him when he's not in work mode and would probably climb him like a tree given the opportunity.
Sabine would steer clear of him as most of her work is decidedly illegal but she'd be reasonably respectful towards him, if also maybe a bit judge-y about a guard spending so much of his downtime in taverns.
Isabela would entirely depend on whether she met him when he was chasing her for doing something illegal or while drinking. She'd probably like him enough as a person but not be hugely interested in cultivating a friendship unless she could get something out of it.
