Account Name: anthony
Display Name: Anthony
Character Full Name: Anthony Burgess
Birthplace: Edgewater, Ferelden
Marital status: single
Occupation(s): former knight of Edgewater, now a mercenary.
Hair: Anthony has shoulder length, brown wavy hair.
Eyes: His eyes are a warm brown, which is offset by the anger held within them.
Other: Anthony has a powerful build, honed from years of martial training. He is well-built and muscular, with a few scars here and there resulting from his training.
Weapons: Anthony wields a steel greatsword, a gift from his father upon his knighthood. Because it was a personally owned weapon, it was not stripped from him when he was stripped of rank and title. He uses it, as it is a well-made sword, even though every time he does he is reminded of his time in Edgewater. He would like to think that this reminder adds to his fury on the battlefield.
Usual Garments/Armor: Anthony wears a suit of splintmail in iron. He found it second-hand in a shop after he was banished from his father's household, and at the time it was all he could afford. He maintains it as well as he can, but its poor quality is apparent even so.
Inventory: Anthony has cobbled together a basic set of traveling mercenary's supplies: camping gear, a change of clothes which is becoming threadbare, a couple of poultices, and trail rations. He also keeps a polish cloth and sharpening stone on his person. In his belt, he keeps a hunting knife for those times when he needs to skin and cook something to eat, and along with his pack is very basic fishing equipment.
Basic Skill(s): Fishing, very basic camping and cooking (if it can be called that), and he can mend his own clothing badly.
Trade Skill(s): Anthony was trained as a soldier, and so his skills lend themselved to mercenary or guard work.
In-Game Skill(s): Survival, Combat Training, Improved Combat Training, Combat Tactics.
Sustained Abilities: Precise Striking, Threaten, Indomitable, Powerful Swings
Passive Abilities: Powerful, Shattering Blows, Two-Handed Strength
Activated Abilities: Taunt, Pommel Strike, Sunder Arms, Mighty Blow
Anthony is a cunning and good-looking young man, and as such can maintain a certain amount of charm for short periods of time. However, he views his dismissal from the service of Malone Kincade and subsequent disowning by his father as unjust, and thus remains incredibly angry, thus shattering his facade of gentlemanliness at unfortunate moments.
He has grown accustomed to being a bully, being larger and stronger than many men, and when the veneer of manners dissipates, he becomes ugly and cruel in his approach to others. He understands the value of hiding his true nature from his superiors, but his control over his presentation has eroded with the increase in his anger.
He prides himself on his looks and his air of self-importance and entitlement grant him a confidence that, on the surface, makes him more attractive, or so he believes. He views women as objects, to be used on a whim and thrown away, or as potential stepping stones to his own power. He hates the Kincade family, and his 'former' father, because he feels they have failed to allow him to move up in the world in the way he believes he should have. Most other people are lesser than him in his own eyes; his reaching for greater personal power and rank is partly the result of his inherent belief in his own superiority.
Anthony's father, an Edgewater freeholder, fought alongside Aaron Kincade during the Rebellion. In return for his father's service, Anthony was accepted as a page at age eight and was knighted at twenty. An abrasive fellow, he bullied the younger pages and squires, but managed to hide his behaviour from the older knights. When he attempted to force his attentions on Bann Malone's youngest sister, Blythe, his days of bullying and deceit came to an end. He was stripped of his knighthood and sent from Edgewater. His father disowned him.
Since then, Anthony has taken work as a traveling mercenary in order to eke out a modest living. He avoids Edgewater at all costs, not wanting to be associated with the town where he was disowned and stripped of the title and glory he felt he deserved, and instead wanders the country as he works. So far he has managed to stay out of trouble, but his abrasive nature and incredible anger keep him from retaining long-term employ with any one mercenary group for long.
